Sound Building Systems Inc. is a family run company and we only operate in Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson, and Clallam counties in Washington state.   The majority of our buildings we construct are residential garages. However, SBS builds shops, barns, hangers, horse arenas, carports and at special request, commercial applications as well. Within 6 months he was promoted to crew foreman at 19 years of age.  While he worked for this company he learned a lot of tricks of the trade that very few people on the West Coast know about. This has a lot to do with what makes our buildings unsurpassed in quality craftsmanship today.  In 1981 he moved to Western Washington and continued to build pole buildings for another major pole building company. While employed there, he constructed buildings and later became their Quality Control Manager while at the same time he also trained crews. Approx. 15 crews were trained under his supervision.  In 1990 Rick and a friend went into partnership as A&W Construction. In 1996 they decided to dissolve their partnership and Rick formed Sound Building Systems. In January of 2001, Sound Building Systems Inc moved their office from Kingston to Port Ludlow and to this day SBS continues to build its reputation to be unsurpassed in quality craftsman and customer satisfaction.
